The NewLife Wiki is a collaborative website revolving around the world of Novusvita, it's solar system, climate, geology, but most importantly, life. It also revolved around the native race, the Zen'ji, and even human presence on the planet. Use this site to either view what has already been added, or add your own relevant info to it!

A Brief Summary of the NewLife ProjectEdit

NewLife is a collaborative xenoproject that revolves around the world of Novusvita.

Novusvita is the second planet from the barycentre in the trinary system of Algol [see the Wikipedia article].

The planet is smaller than Earth, but larger than Mars, with active plate tectonics, water-based oceans, a carbon dioxide atmosphere and very diverse life.

The year is 2237 AD and through decades of experimentation, a workable Slipdrive has been developed by the United Earth Space Agency (UESA) and has been greatly invested and implemented into deep space exploration with unmanned probes, particularly in the search for life. Everywhere from Alpha Centauri to HD 38529 was explored.

One of these missions were sent to the star commonly refered to as the "Demon Star", Beta Persei, also known by the alias Algol. Algol is actually a combination of three stars, two orbiting in close proximity in the center of the system and one far flung star orbiting the other two amongst Algol's planets, of which there are four. Of these four planets, two are rocky planets (Ustulo and of course Novusvita) and two are gas giants (Magnus and Pluresluna). There are also three dwarf planets (Tartarus, Sepose and Exile).

Using the highly advanced orbital scanners it carried, the satellite probe, named Galileo IV, visited each planet and searched for signs of water, a habitable atmosphere and, of course, life.

When the probe returned to Earth, it came with the discovery of the century. Life had been discovered on other celestial bodies before, but never anything more than loosely arranged genetic matter and occasionally extremophiles. What was found on Novusvita outmatched any and all expectations. Complex life on a scale comparable to Earth. Forests of strange plants, herds of equaly strange animals and even traces of sentience.

Within the decade a manned mission was sent to the Algol system carrying a large research team, a crew of over one hundred men and women and enough supplies to create a thriving colony.

On the third of August, 2229 AD, space shuttle UEF Darwin V landed on Novusvita, in the region now known as Rangeland and by Christmas, Darwin was a working colony.

The life on Novusvita is incredibly diverse, ranging from living rocks to trees with hearts. The life can be divided into three main groups: Solvoa (liquid-based life), Recolliga (mineral-based life) and Carcera (cellular life).

Together, they make up the natural life on the planet.
